Introduction
During the next few months the Children’s Services Team (ICST) remit is to work with partners, children, young people, families and carers to produce the next Children's Services Plan for 2008/11. We would like to keep you in touch with developments and will do this by posting up to date information on the site.
What is the Plan?
The Children’s Service Plan is the document, which outlines the priorities and developments, and details the outcomes partners wish to achieve for children and young people across children’s services within South Ayrshire. It includes partners from Health, the Voluntary Sector, Education, Social Work and the Police. The 2008 to 2011 plan which will be published in the early summer of 2008 will also be influenced the views of children, young people and their families.
Why do we have it?
The Children’s Services Plan for South Ayrshire is prepared using guidance issued by the Scottish Government. The plan plays a central role in ensuring that South Ayrshire Council, NHS Ayrshire and Arran, Strathclyde Police and partner agencies and organisations from the Voluntary Sector come together to develop and improve services by developing a more integrated approach to support our children and families.
