Young People with Special Needs Remit & Criteria

The young person must meet the following criteria?

• Be aged 8-18
• Live in the South Ayrshire region
• Limited adult support to access social and recreational activities
• Limited peer interaction or community involvement

In terms of criteria those young people with special needs, the individual will be socially isolated and unable to utilise recreational facilities independently due to one or more of the following:

• Significant learning disability
• Physical disability
• Sensory impairment

Young People with Social, Emotional & Behavioural Needs Remit Criteria

The young person must meet the following criteria:

• Be aged 8-18
• Live in the South Ayrshire region
• Limited adult support to access social and recreational activities
• Limited peer interaction or community involvement

In addition to this, the young person must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Challenging behaviour, either at school, home or in the community
• Emotionally vulnerable
• Significant social difficulties
