Main hall 34x27m. This hall can accommodate
various sports including 5 a side football; basketball;
volleyball; netball; indoor hockey; indoor cricket practice;
badminton and short tennis. As well as individual sports,
sporting events and competitions, the hall has also
hosted exhibitions; concerts, trade fairs; election
counts and awards ceremonies.
Dance Studio approx 124sq.m. Predominantly
used for dance or exercise classes but also accommodates
martial arts groups and drama workshops.
Two glass backed squash courts.
Gymnasium.
Area 1 – 13.6m x 9.8m. This
area houses 33 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including
treadmills; cycles; rowers; steppers and cross trainers.
Area 2 – an irregular form
of approx. 100sq.m. This area houses 15 pieces resistance
equipment allowing a complete workout for the upper
and lower body and when combined the Area 1 covers the
fill spectrum of cardiovascular, strength and endurance
requirements.
Sauna Suite
Comprising 2 sauna cabin; steam room; plunge pool; rest
room; ladies and gents changing areas and Jacuzzi.
The ground floor also facilitates
two areas which are leased to private operators:-Cafe
Breeze a licensed bar / cafeteria and Simply Irresistible,
a beauty salon.
Staff accommodation;
Conference Room 12m x 6m and Meeting
Room 7m x 6m both available for meetings; presentations
and training purposes.
Crèche – home to Noah’s
Ark Playgroup which operated Monday to Friday from 9.00am
to 12 noon.

Teaching pool - 15m x 5m
Flexi-pool – 12m x 11m with
a hydraulic movable floor to allow variable depths which
will accommodate diving from one and three metre springboards,
to shallow water for swimming lessons to a dry floor
area for exercise classes.
Activities carried out in this area range from general
casual swimming and early Bird sessions to an extensive
organised swimming instruction programme including Aquarium
for teenagers and adults and pool discos to club activities
including competitive swimming, sub-aqua and canoeing.
- The pool hall also has spectating accommodation
for 300 persons.
- The mezzanine floor comprises a cafeteria and access
to the spectator gallery.
- The spectator gallery and cafeteria area each have
male and female toilets.
- The cafeteria comprises sitting area, servery, kitchen
and staff and storage accommodation.

Prestwick Pool is a single storey
facility containing a reception area, male and female
toilets, male and female changing rooms with ancillary
toilet accommodation staff room, general purpose room,
office accommodation, disabled changing room, first
aid room, control room, pool hall containing a 25m 4-lane
deck level pool and spectator area for 18 persons.
Activities carried out in this area
range from general casual swimming and Early Bird sessions
to an extensive organised swimming instruction program
including Aqua trim and pool discos to club activities
including competitive swimming and disabled swimming
clubs. The pool is also available for private party
hire.

PRESTWICK TIME TABLES
Girvan pool is a single storey
establishment comprising reception area, manager’s
office, staff accommodation, disabled toilet, a private
bath / shower facility, seated area served by vending
machines, male and female public toilets, male and female
changing rooms each with shower and toilet provision,
pool hall containing a 25m 4-lane main pool and teaching
pool 7.64m x 5.80m, control room, first aid room and
poolside store room. The spectator gallery can accommodate
up to 130 persons.

range from general casual swimming and Early Bird sessions
to an extensive organised swimming instruction program
including Aqua trim and pool discos to club activities
including competitive swimming, sub-aqua and canoeing.
The pool is also available for private
party hire.

GIRVAN TIME TABLES
Maybole Pool is a single storey establishment
comprising reception area, male and female public toilets,
male and female changing rooms with shower and toilet
provision, pool hall containing a 25m 4-lane pool and
small spectator area, control room, first aid room and
disabled changing room. The building also contains a
staff room and Manager’s office.
Activities carried out in this area range from general
casual swimming and Early Bird sessions to an extensive
organised swimming instruction programme including Aquatrim
and pool discos, to club activities including competitive
swimming and lifesaving.
The pool is also available for private party hire.

MAYBOLE TIME TABLES
Troon pool is a single storey
facility containing reception area, male and female
toilets, male, female and disabled changing rooms with
ancillary toilet and shower accommodation, Manager’s
Office, Staff Room and a small Gymnasium containing
a mixture of 11 pieces of cardiovascular and six pieces
of resistance equipment. The pool hall contains a 25m
4-lane pool and a 6.00m x 8.5m teaching pool along with
a control room and first aid room. Spectator accommodation
is an open area large enough for 35 persons seated at
tables.
Activities carried out in this area
range from general casual swimming and Early Bird sessions
to an extensive organised swimming instruction program
including Aqua trim and Power hour for teenagers and
adults and pool discos to club activities including
competitive swimming and a Triathlon Club. The Gymnasium
is also a popular resource.

TROON TIMETABLES
The facility contains an 8-lane
track with polymeric surface. Provision for field events
include two long jump run ups and pits, one high jump
run up and landing area, two pole vault run ups, two
javelin run ups and a cage for throwing events. In addition
to athletic events, the field accommodates prestigious
football matches.
The pavilion comprises five changing
rooms, two toilet and shower blocks for competitors,
two storerooms, entrance foyer and general-purpose area.
The pavilion also contains a stand with pod seating
for 478 spectators and a press box.
This facility is predominantly used
for athletics coaching and matches although events such
as Police Dog trials have taken place in the past.

Each Centre contains a main hall
21.5m x 14.9m (except at Whitletts, where the hall measures
28.9m x 15.5m), a squash court. At Mossblown and Coylton
there are small gymnasiums containing four pieces of
cardiovascular equipment and three pieces of resistance
equipment. Tarbolton and Dailly have a small fitness
area with a five-station multi-gym and Muirhead has
a small soft play area.
Dundonald and Whitletts have additional
office accommodation.
Each Centre has male, female and overflow changing accommodation
with ancillary toilet and shower facilities, a first
aid room and disabled toilet provision. The reception
area comprises a small viewing area, reception desk
and storeroom.
Typical activities within these facilities
are; football, badminton, short tennis, gymnastics,
pre-school gymnastics, netball, mini-netball, basketball,
volleyball, archery, junior golf tuition, drama workshops,
aerobics, roller hockey, dance classes, weight training,
circuit training, and various martial arts groups.
In addition to the sports and recreation
activities After School and Holiday Care Clubs operate
at Mossblown, Tarbolton, Dailly and Coylton Activity
Centres. These provide flexible care for children aged
4-12 years. Care Club staff organise special activity
programmes to keep everyone amused. Children attending
the Care Club have full access to the programme in the
Activity Centres.
